Robbery at ATMA female using an ATM at a financial institution on Norfolk Street North, Simcoe, was approached by a man demanding money on Sept. 1 around 9:20 a.m.Police were immediately contacted and located a suspect. The male suspect fled on foot but was taken into custody shortly after.A 28-year-old Norfolk County man has been charged with robbery with violence, uttering threats to cause death of bodily harm, and robbery with intent.The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date. Locked bicycle stolen from home In the early hours on Sept. 2 a locked bicycle was removed from a home on Main Street in Delhi.The bicycle is described as a black and red coloured, Hyper Boundary Trail bike valued at about $150.Attempted theft of vehicle A vehicle parked at a Mechanic Street, Waterford, address was severely damaged following an attempted theft.Police say in the early hours of Aug. 31 suspects gained access to the vehicle by damaging the door locks. Once inside the steering column was damaged in an attempt to remove the vehicle. Go Pro mount and documents stolenA motorcycle parked at an address on Talbot Street South in Simcoe was the target of a theft in the early hours of Aug. 31.OPP say the saddlebags located on the motorcycle were forcibly entered and a Go Pro camera mount along with the ownership and insurance documents were removed. Purse stolen from vehicle A purse was stolen from a vehicle with its windows left down on Talbot Street South in Simcoe.The theft occurred in the early hours on Aug. 31.The purse contained personal and financial information including health card birth certificates. Wallet stolen from beachA swimmer at Port Dover beach had their wallet stolen while they were in the water at around 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 31.Police say that a backpack containing a wallet was left on the beach while the owner was swimming nearby. The wallet that was removed from the bag contained personal and financial information along with Canadian currency. Air compressor stolenA beige and yellow coloured air compressor was removed from a Concession 10, Townsend address.At some point between Aug. 17 and 31 the outbuilding on the property was entered and the air compressor was stolen. Bicycle stolen from shedIn the early hours of Sept. 1 a shed on Wolven Street in Port Rowan was entered and a blue coloured bicycle was removed.A vehicle in the driveway of the property was also entered and a wallet containing personal and financial information was removed. Corvette stolen from Caledonia drivewayA 1987 Chevrolet Corvette was stolen from a driveway on Thompson Road in Caledonia.The theft occurred between 4 p.m. on Aug. 30 and 9 p.m. on Sept. 1.The yellow Corvette was locked and parked in the owner’s driveway. ATV stolen from garage in DunnvilleAn all-terrain vehicle was stolen during a break and enter at a Port Maitland Road, Dunnville, address.At some point between August 27 at 5 p.m. and Aug. 30 at 9 a.m. the detached garage on the property was entered and a black 2017 Yamaha C7F Grizzly ATV was removed.The ATV was further described as having a Pro Vantage 2500 winch attached to the front end. read more
